Vanderbilt Health, Siemens Healthineers Partner to Deliver Advanced Technology, Elevate Patient Care

Vanderbilt Health has signed a major multi-year agreement with Siemens Healthineers worth $87 million, aiming to overhaul its diagnostic imaging and radiation oncology services across hospitals in the Nashville area. The partnership is structured as a Value Partnership, a model focused on long-term collaboration rather than simple equipment purchases.

Under the deal, Vanderbilt will standardize its imaging technology, replacing older machines with Siemens' latest systems for CT, MRI, and PET scans. The upgrades also extend to radiation oncology, where new linear accelerators and software will help target tumors more precisely. Beyond hardware, the agreement includes workforce development programs to train technicians and clinicians on the new tools.

Hospital leaders say the investment is meant to improve patient outcomes by reducing scan times, lowering radiation doses, and catching diseases earlier. Siemens will provide ongoing support and data analytics to help Vanderbilt optimize workflow and maintenance. The partnership is expected to roll out in phases over the next several years, with the first installations scheduled for early 2027.
