Cox Automotive Inc. has officially released a new browser extension called Cox Automotive Navigator, aimed at helping dealerships streamline their daily operations across multiple software platforms. The tool is designed to connect various technology solutions within the company's ecosystem, reducing the need for dealers to constantly switch between different tabs and logins.
According to the company, Navigator acts as a central hub that integrates with existing dealership management systems and digital retailing tools. It allows users to access key functions, customer data, and inventory information from a single interface. The goal is to cut down on repetitive tasks and manual data entry, which often slow down sales and service processes.
The extension works by overlaying onto a dealer's current browser setup, providing quick links to common actions like updating vehicle listings, checking customer leads, or managing service appointments. Cox Automotive noted that the tool was developed in response to feedback from dealers who wanted a more unified experience across its suite of products, which includes Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book, and Manheim.
Early testing with select dealerships showed a noticeable reduction in time spent on administrative work. One dealer reported that staff could complete inventory updates in half the time compared to the old method of logging into separate systems. The company plans to roll out additional features in the coming months, including more customization options and deeper integration with third-party software.
Cox Automotive Navigator is now available for download to current customers. The company emphasized that the tool is free to use and does not require any additional hardware or complex setup.
